Fort Lauderdale, Fl – According to Daytona Times, a driver whose car crashed into the 2021 Stonewall Pride Festival in Fort Lauderdale. On June 19, 2021, plans for the festival were called off when a White SUV crashed and lost control, therefore hitting two and killing one. The three people are all members of the LGBTQ Community and the Fort Lauderdale Gay Men’s Chorus who were preparing to participate in the festival.
The suspect’s cooperation and evidence obtained by the Fort Lauderdale Police Department indicates that the crash was accidental. The driver stated that that the SUV accelerated without control. One of the three victims passed away from their injuries and the other two have been hospitalized and released.
The driver has expressed their sincerest condolences to the victims.
