A. A. Moore Capito

Moore Capito is a shareholder in the Corporate and Commercial, Emerging Technologies, and Energy and Natural Resources groups of Babst Calland. Mr. Capito represents publicly-traded and privately-held clients in corporate mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, as well as business structuring, governance, commercial contracts, and real estate transactions. In addition, he represents energy clients in various transactional matters of natural gas assets, joint developments, leasing, and operations.

Mr. Capito has substantial experience in all phases of complex corporate, commercial and real estate transactions. He routinely counsels clients in entity, joint venture and partnership structuring and formation, and general business matters.

Prior to joining Babst Calland, Mr. Capito served as in-house counsel for one of the largest independent oil and gas production and midstream companies in West Virginia and the Appalachian Basin.

Mr. Capito received his undergraduate degree in 2005 from Duke University. He earned his J.D. from Washington and Lee University School of Law in 2011. Prior to law school, Mr. Capito spent his career in public service, including as a staff member for the Secretary of Defense at the Pentagon, a member of The White House advance team traveling in support of the President. His first assignment in Washington, D.C. was working for the Majority Whip in the United States House of Representatives.
