ABOUT Alison L. Lynch
Alison L. Lynch is a Principal in the Orange County, California, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. Her practice focuses on litigation and preventative counseling.
Ms. Lynch represents employers in state and federal court in numerous areas of employment law including claims of discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, harassment, failure to accommodate disabilities, defamation, breach of contract, fraud, failure to pay wages and a variety of other statutory and common law claims. She also represents employers before state and federal agencies including the Department of Fair Employment and Housing, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Department of Labor Standards Enforcement. In addition to litigation, Ms. Lynch speaks on employment law topics and works with employers in preventative and educational counseling. She has served as an adjunct professor of employment law at Whittier Law School.
Prior to joining Jackson Lewis, Ms. Lynch was an associate at a mid-sized insurance defense firm in the employment department where she gained valuable experience representing employers and working with insurance companies toward the resolution of workplace disputes.
While attending law school, Ms. Lynch was honored with West’s Outstanding Scholastic Achievement Award. She was selected for an internship with the honorable Justice David Sills, Presiding, of California’s Fourth District Court of Appeal, Division Three. While clerking for the Court of Appeal, Ms. Lynch was a contributing author to published opinion Hope International University v. Superior Court (2004) 119 Cal.App.4th 719, an employment case related to the “ministerial exception” to state and federal employment laws. In addition, Ms. Lynch was a member of Whittier’s Law Review where her article, Changing Ideas About Changing Diapers 25 Whittier L. Rev. 927 (2004) was selected for publication. Ms. Lynch finished law school at the top of her class, receiving CALI Excellence for the Future awards in Constitutional Law I and II, Law Review, Law and Literature and International Human Rights.
