Aqueelah S. Mitchell

Aqueelah Mitchell is an associate in WSHB’s Miami office. Her practice focuses on insurance litigation and coverage matters, including assisting the London insurance market, as well as employment disputes and litigation. Prior to joining the firm, Aqueelah served as a judicial intern clerk at both the Florida First District Court of Appeal and Fourth District Court of Appeal, interned at the City of Miami Gardens City Attorney’s office, and clerked for a small civil litigation firm.

Aqueelah is a graduate of Florida State University College of Law, where she was a member of Moot Court, served as president of the Black Law Students Association, and was an Associate Justice on the FSU Supreme Court. While in law school, Aqueelah studied international law at the University of Oxford.

In addition to practicing law, Aqueelah serves as a mentor with Women of Tomorrow, and as a ‘Big’ mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters Miami.
