Daniel H. Brody

Daniel H. Brody concentrates his practice in insurance coverage matters representing insurance carriers from the inception of claims through coverage litigation, primarily with respect to claims-made liability policies for corporate directors and officers and other professionals. His experience also includes liability policies for financial institutions, investment managers, broker-dealers, ERISA fiduciaries and employment practices, as well as general liability and reinsurance policies.

Mr. Brody analyzes coverage and potential exposure in order to resolve claims and frequently drafts coverage correspondence and opinions. He also negotiates allocation agreements and other settlements related to insurance disputes; however, when a coverage dispute cannot be resolved amicably, he engages in coverage litigation on behalf of insurance carriers. In addition, Mr. Brody drafts forms and endorsements for D&O and professional liability policies and often monitors securities class actions and other sophisticated underlying claims involving major financial institutions.
