Daniel S. Corde

Dan has 27 years litigation experience, including trials to verdict, arbitrations and mediations in a wide range of practice areas. As a member of the casualty department, his practice is devoted to construction injury matters including New York labor law 240 and 241, aviation liability, transportation, premises liability and automobile liability. Dan also focuses a portion of his practice on asbestos litigation specifically products used in commercial manufacturing and property damage claims including mold.

Over the years, he became a seasoned trial attorney defending construction contractors and property owners on statutory claims under the New York State Labor Law. He continues to routinely handle product manufacturers and property owners in asbestos litigation, charter and limousine companies in transportation cases and various clients on premises liability and automobile claims. Dan also represented a summer religious camp in a matter arising out of accidental discharge of a firearm.

Among his various cases, Dan recently defended property owners in litigation arising out of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks at the World Trade Center; various premises owners, including large retailers and hotels; and, a security contractor in a high profile stabbing case.

As a certified pilot and member of our aviation team, Dan has conducted mediations across the United States and worked with insurance carriers, fixed based operator clients and local counsel to establish, coordinate and manage the defense of cases in various other states, including New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Florida, California and Nevada.

Dan began and spent the first 27 years of his career with Jones Hirsch Connors Miller & Bull, the last 17 years as a partner of the firm. He practices out of our Westchester office, just north of New York City. Dan services the needs of his clients throughout the Metropolitan area including the five boroughs of New York; Westchester, Rockland and Dutchess Counties; and, the various Judicial Districts of Connecticut, including Stamford, Fairfield, New Haven, Danbury, Ansonia, New Britain, New London and Meriden.
