David Lawrence Koche

David L. Koche is a partner with the law firm of Barnett Bolt Kirkwood Long & Koche, where he practices in the areas of estate planning, federal and state tax law and tax controversies, and aviation tax. David has written and lectured on these topics throughout his career. He received his B.A. degree from Cornell University, his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, and his LL.M degree (Taxation) from the University of Florida College of Law. David currently serves on the firm's executive committee.

Focused on tax law David has been listed in "Best Lawyers in America" under tax law 2006-2016, Tampa's Top Lawyers - Tax Law (2016; Voted #1 by his peers) and has also been selected for Florida Super Lawyers 2007-2009 and 2012-2015. He is a member of various professional associations, and, most notably, has served as Assistant Director of the Education Division and the State Tax Division of the Florida Bar Tax Section.
