Deborah Rosenthal

Attorney Deborah Rosenthal works as an associate at Simmons Browder Gianaris Angelides & Barnerd LLC on cases in the firm's asbestos litigation, personal injury and commercial litigation departments. She works in the firm's San Francisco office and has practiced law for more than 15 years in the Bay Area. During that time, she has helped secure millions of dollars in verdicts and settlements on her clients' behalf.

"I am a true believer in justice as a basic human right and in the ability of our civil justice system to level the playing field in a way that few other institutions can," Deborah said. "The system can help restore people's sense of dignity and power after they have had something wrongfully taken from them. I feel honored to be a part of that process."

Prior to joining the Simmons Firm, Deborah represented clients in asbestos and benzene-related exposure cases, as well as other types of personal injury cases, including psychological injury. In addition, she has worked as an editor and writer for several legal publications.

Deborah is a member of the California State Bar and has been admitted to the U.S. District Courts for the Southern, Central, and Northern Districts of California. Currently she serves on the Board of Governors for the Consumer Attorneys of California, the Attorney Liaison Committee for the San Francisco Superior Court Asbestos Department, and the Magazine Editorial Committee for the San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association.

Deborah earned her J.D. from the University of San Francisco School of Law and her B.A. in literature/writing from the University of California, San Diego.
