ABOUT Ellen E. Cohen
Ellen E. Cohen is a Principal in the Los Angeles, California, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. Ms. Cohen represents management in all types of employment disputes including harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and wrongful termination cases in both state and federal court, as well as in arbitration and administrative hearings.
Ms. Cohen also counsels clients on a wide range of employment-related issues, including employee discipline and termination, lay-off procedures, reasonable accommodations under the ADA and FEHA, leaves of absence under Family Medical Leave Act and state laws, wage and hour laws, and harassment and discrimination issues. Ms. Cohen drafts company policies and employee handbooks and conducts training seminars, including sexual harassment prevention training. She also conducts investigations into allegations of alleged workplace misconduct.
While attending law school, Ms. Cohen was a member of the Southwestern Law School Law Review and received the CALI Award-Contracts I and II, Constitutional Law.
Prior to joining Jackson Lewis, Ms. Cohen exclusively practiced labor and employment law as an associate in the Los Angeles office of a boutique law firm specializing in labor and employment law.
