As the firm principal attorney and owner, Frances “Fran” H. Hampton is uniquely positioned to handle legal matters from the complex to the simple whether associated with trusts and estates, tax matters including tax controversies, business matters, or equitable distribution in divorce. Frances H. Hampton has more than twenty years’ experience as a practicing attorney and has a background grounded in her earlier practice as a Certified Public Accountant “CPA” in both public accounting and as a corporate financial officer. In addition to certification as a CPA, Fran has attained accreditation as a Certified Financial Planner and as a Personal Financial Specialist. Fran also holds a Master of Laws in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C. following completion of her Juris Doctor in Law.

Fran Hampton has the depth of knowledge and experience whether planning and administering trusts and/or estates, resolving estate disputes, planning closely-held business formation and negotiating business transactions, planning and administration of tax matters including representation of disputes before the Internal Revenue and the Virginia Department of Taxation. With her experience, education and knowledge, Fran is uniquely qualified and has the inherent ability to seamlessly incorporate expertise from one specialized area into the understanding, planning and representation of another. Each client is unique, and as a small boutique practice, Fran dedicates time to communicate and getting to know each client, their needs and objectives.
