ABOUT Ian P. Gillan

Ian P. Gillan is a partner with Koeller, Nebeker, Carlson & Haluck, LLP. He is licensed to practice in the states of Florida, Nevada, and Connecticut. Ian is experienced in litigating complex matters in both State and Federal Courts.

Ian’s practice focuses on the defense of insurers in regards to coverage, compliance and extra-contractual/ bad faith litigation. As part of his practice, Ian routinely counsels insurers and insureds alike in regards to insurance coverage and assessment of risk. Ian has an acute awareness of both the business and legal aspects of the insurance market and is particularly interested in the emerging, technological advances in the industry.

Ian also represents developers/general contractors in construction litigation and appellate matters. His construction practice spans a wide range of forums, including arbitration, mediation and litigation in State and Federal Courts. Ian strives to design and implement efficient and creative strategies for the litigation and resolution of his cases.

Ian was born in the town of Cumberland, Rhode Island. He earned his B.A. in Political Science from Rhode Island College and his J.D. from Quinnipiac University School of Law in Hamden, Connecticut. Ian was appointed to the position of Executive Board Editor of the Moot Court Honors Society during law school and participated in the Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition. He received the Outstanding Legal Scholarship; Excellence in Oral Advocacy; and Service to the Law School awards while at Quinnipiac University School of Law.
