J. David Freel

David works primarily in the litigation practice group in the areas of commercial litigation, premises liability, negligence, product liability, insurance coverage, professional liability, employment law, construction law, and civil rights.

David graduated with highest distinction from Pennsylvania State University, receiving a B.A. in Economics. He graduated magna cum laude from Roger Williams University School of Law where he served as the Executive Articles Editor of The Roger Williams University Law Review, received the American Bankruptcy Institute’s Medal of Excellence in Bankruptcy, and received a Presidential Scholarship. Following law school, David clerked for the Rhode Island Supreme Court’s Law Clerk Department.

David is a member of the Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and New Jersey Bar Associations, and the United States District Court for the District of Rhode Island. He is a member of the Rhode Island Bar Association, Defense Research Institute, and Defense Counsel of Rhode Island
