ABOUT Jaclyn P. Floryan

Jaclyn P. Floryan is a Principal in the Los Angeles, California, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. Her practice focuses on employment litigation on behalf of management as well as advising and counseling employers on a variety of day-to-day workplace issues.

Ms. Floryan has experience handling a wide range of employment related issues, including breach of contract, harassment, discrimination, retaliation and wrongful termination. She also has extensive experience defending class and collective action lawsuits involving wage and hour claims, including exempt/non-exempt, failure to pay overtime, failure to provide rest breaks and meal periods, “off-the-clock” work, non-compliant wage statements, failure to reimburse business expenses, failure to provide suitable seating and unfair business practices. Ms. Floryan has also defended employers in numerous representative actions involving the Private Attorney General Act (PAGA). She has conducted multiple employer and management training seminars, including sexual harassment prevention training and human trafficking prevention training for the hospitality industry, and speaks on a multitude of employment law topics.

Ms. Floryan has experience in all phases of civil litigation in both state and federal courts. In addition, she has represented employers in mediations, in arbitrations and before administrative agencies, including the Division of Labor Standards Enforcement (DLSE) and the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB).

While attending law school, Ms. Floryan was also a staff member on the Pepperdine University Dispute Resolution Law Journal. She participated in Pepperdine’s London Study Abroad program, where she worked for an international commercial real estate and business transaction law firm. Ms. Floryan also received a Certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolution from Pepperdine University School of Law’s Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution in 2009.
