ABOUT Joseph J. DiPalma
Joseph J. DiPalma is a Principal in the White Plains, New York, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. He represents employers of varying sizes and industries in a wide range of labor and employment matters, including collective bargaining, union grievances, employment litigation and traditional labor matters.
Mr. DiPalma is a member of the firm’s Disability, Leave and Health Management Practice Group. He focuses a large part of his practice on counseling employers by providing creative solutions to the complex array of workplace disability and health management issues faced by both large and small employers. Mr. DiPalma counsels clients with the goal of either avoiding litigation entirely or improving outcomes before administrative agencies, courts and juries. Mr. DiPalma also counsels clients concerning public accommodation issues, with significant experience defending employers in ADA Title III litigations.
With substantial experience representing educational institutions, Mr. DiPalma is also a member of the firm’s Higher Education Group. He assists and counsels academic institutions on items related to discrimination claims, policy review and other preventive strategies. Mr. DiPalma litigates on behalf of both private and public institutions in federal and state courts and before administrative agencies. In addition to handling matters related to employees, Mr. DiPalma also assists clients with student affairs matters, including representing academic institutions in New York State Article 78 Proceedings.
Prior to joining Jackson Lewis, Mr. DiPalma was an associate at a New York law firm where he counseled and represented public entities, including many school districts, in various labor and employment matters in both state and federal court.
While in law school, Mr. DiPalma served as an Associate Editor of the New York International Law Review. In addition, Mr. DiPalma has served as a judicial intern with the New York Supreme Court, Appellate Division, Second Department.
