Joshua B. Long

primarily practices in the area of intellectual property litigation. Mr. Long has experience with intellectual property litigation in federal courts throughout the United States, including trial, for matters involving electronics and computer components and systems. Mr. Long has represented clients in patent litigation matters related to telecommunications networks, fiber optic data transmission, Wi-Fi, Power over Ethernet, dynamic RAM, LED display panels, medical devices, PCI Express, micro electro-mechanical systems and alarm systems. Mr. Long has patent litigation experience before the International Trade Commission (ITC).

Mr. Long has first-chair trial experience for copyright infringement cases. He has also obtained copyrights and trademarks for clients.

Mr. Long has experience in federal and state courts with trade secret litigation for multi-million dollar chemical companies and automotive part suppliers.

Mr. Long has written opinions involving other intellectual property disputes, including infringement and validity related to patents, freedom to operate analysis for a large Silicon Valley software company and due diligence analysis of intellectual property for a bankruptcy acquisition related to a billion dollar PET/PTA manufacturing plant.

Mr. Long is a 2011 graduate of South Texas College of Law and a graduate of Rice University (B.S., Electrical and Computer Engineering). He is conversational in Spanish.
