Karlek S. Johnson

Karlek Johnson concentrates his practice in civil litigation. His current practice areas include construction defect defense, products liability, premises liability, subrogation, civil rights, motor vehicle accident defense, and commercial litigation. Karlek’s practice emphasizes the representation of developers and general contractors in construction related disputes. He also has extensive experience representing manufacturers and sellers in products liability cases. Prior to joining the firm, Karlek practiced in Chicago, Illinois, where he worked for a boutique law firm focusing on litigation. Before that, he worked in house for Chubb Insurance.

Originally from Northville, Michigan, Karlek earned a Doctorate of Jurisprudence from the University of Illinois College of Law, after obtaining a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan in Political Science. Karlek is scuba certified, having completed dives in both Mexico and Hawaii. He is also an avid golfer, having once come within a foot of a hole-in-one on an Arnold Palmer designed golf course.
