Katherine R. Heath

Katherine R. Heath is an Associate in our office in Asheville, North Carolina, and she counsels clients on a wide range of administrative and litigation matters. She works with providers to address issues involving Medicaid, and she defends clients in professional and medical malpractice and negligence claims. Katherine also handles a variety of matters involving general liability, employment issues, governmental liability, and products liability. Her experience includes obtaining successful results for physicians, skilled nursing care facilities, businesses, police officers, employers, and other licensed professionals.

Katherine earned her Juris Doctorate from Wake Forest University School of Law and her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, magna cum laude, from Wake Forest University.

Before joining Hall Booth Smith, Katherine was a judicial intern for the Honorable Valerie J. Zachary of the North Carolina Court of Appeals. She also served as a legal intern at the Forsyth County District Attorney’s Office and as a legal extern for the Children’s Law Center of Central North Carolina. Katherine has worked as a Guardian ad Litem, where she advocated for children in the courtroom, and she previously directed Forsyth County’s Teen Court program. Katherine was named to the Order of the Barristers National Honors Society upon her graduation from law school to recognize her exceptional work in courtroom advocacy.
