Kirsten A. Milton

Kirsten A. Milton is a Principal in the Chicago, Illinois, and Las Vegas, Nevada, offices of Jackson Lewis P.C. She represents and counsels management in a wide range of labor and employment issues.

Ms. Milton's practice particularly focuses on class and collective action litigation arising under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and state wage-and-hour laws, as well as class action and multi-party litigation arising under Title VII and the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA).

Ms. Milton regularly handles multi-party and single-plaintiff litigation arising under Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Pregnancy Discrimination Act (PDA) and a variety of other statutory and common law theories. She also has extensive experience dealing with the federal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the U.S. Department of Labor, the Illinois Department of Human Rights and various other state fair employment agencies.

She routinely counsels clients on a variety of employment practices, including personnel policies and procedures, severance agreements and employee hiring, disciplining and discharging.

Prior to joining Jackson Lewis, Ms. Milton was an associate in the labor and employment group at a leading international law firm.

While in law school, she served as editor-in-chief of the University of Illinois Law Review and was a recipient of the CALI Excellence for the Future Awards.
