Kyle R. Byard

Kyle is a member of the Workers' Compensation Department where he devotes his practice to workers' compensation litigation on behalf of employers, insurance carriers and self-insureds. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

He attended the University of Delaware where he earned his undergraduate degree in Finance in 2009. After working in the financial sector for some time, he attended Widener University Delaware School of Law, earning his juris doctor in May of 2015. While attending Widener, Kyle earned a spot on the Dean's List in 2012 and 2013 and was the recipient of the Outstanding Student Service Award in 2015. He was also a member of the Widener Journal of Law, Economics and Race, joining its editorial board during the 2014-15 school year as senior managing editor. In addition, Kyle served as treasurer for the Black Law Students Association from 2013 to 2014.

While attending Widener, Kyle interned at the Pennsylvania Office of the Attorney General, Bureau of Consumer Protection and within the Homicide Unit of the Philadelphia District Attorney's Office, where he earned a Pro Bono Distinction of 372 hours of volunteer service. For the year following law school, Kyle worked as an anti-money laundering investigator for HSBC.

Kyle is also a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
