Maria K. Plese

A native of Canada, Ms. Plese came to California in 1992, from Hamilton, Ontario where she was born and raised. She obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Western Ontario, and went on to obtain a diploma in business administration from Wilfrid Laurier University.

Ms. Plese attended Whittier Law School, where she was a member of the Moot Court Honor's Board, coached the school's competitive moot court team, and graduated magna cum laude, in the top 5% of her class. While attending law school, she interned at the L.A. County D.A.'s office in the Hard Core Gang and Domestic Violence units, where she tried her first case to a successful verdict. Since graduating, she has returned to sit as a judge for the school's internal moot court competition. Ms. Plese practices in the areas of general liability defense, including wrongful death and catastrophic injury cases, premises liability and products liability. She also has extensive experience in the fields of professional and medical malpractice, representing institutional, corporate and individual clients. She is a member of the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel, the Orange County Bar Association, American Bar Association, and Southern California Association for Healthcare Risk Management.

In her spare time, she enjoys traveling abroad and spending time with her husband and two daughters.
