Matthew H. Weiner

Mr. Weiner has been practicing law in Northern California for over ten years. His primary practice areas are construction litigation, landlord tenant, premises liability, personal injury and professional liability. Mr. Weiner's practice emphasizes the representation of developers and general contractors in construction related disputes. In addition, Mr. Weiner represents landlords in disputes with current and former tenants and has developed a comprehensive understanding of the rent control laws for several municipalities in Northern California. Mr. Weiner also represents and defends real estate agents/brokers and insurance agents/brokers.

Mr. Weiner has tried several cases to verdict in multiple jurisdictions in Northern California. He has obtained judgments in favor of his landlord clients for possession of their property and for back rent. He has also successfully defended his landlord clients from action by tenants including using SLAPP motions to obtain dismissals at the outset of the litigation. He actively defends landlords' rights throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and has spoken at several city and county hearings on current rental laws and their application, in favor of landlord rights.

Mr. Weiner earned a Doctorate of Jurisprudence from Washington University in St. Louis, after obtaining a bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan in History, Political Science and Education.
