Michael A. Aluko

Michael A. Aluko counsels clients on investment management, private investment funds (including real estate funds, private equity funds and hedge funds), derivatives, and regulatory matters. He drafts, reviews, and negotiates offering documents including limited partnership agreements, investment management agreements, and other commercial agreements in connection with the formation and investments in real estate funds, private equity funds and hedge funds as well as related co-investment and principal investment funds.

Michael advises institutional investors and investment managers on structuring, regulatory and legal issues impacting real estate, private equity, and hedge fund structures.

Prior to Greenberg Traurig, Michael spent a number of years in the Structured Products and Derivatives department of a major New York law firm where he advised and represented hedge funds and investment managers on derivatives and structured transactions. He also advised major banks, investment managers, public pension plans and other investors, as in-house counsel, in connection with derivatives regulations and trading agreements, including ISDA Master Agreements, Prime Brokerage, Margin Lock-Up, Master Securities Lending and Global Master Repurchase Agreements, Futures and Clearing, Master Confirmations, and Credit Support Annexes.
