Michael Callicutt

Michael Callicutt is an Associate in our Athens office, and he concentrates his practice on business litigation, general liability, governmental liability, construction, medical malpractice and professional malpractice and ethics.

He has been with Hall Booth Smith since 2014, when he was a records clerk. He gained valuable legal experience as a legal assistant and law clerk at the firm while completing his Juris Doctorate at Georgia State University College of Law, where he received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in both Georgia Practice & Procedure and Complex Litigation.

Before starting law school, Michael interned with the District Attorney’s Office for Georgia’s Northern Judicial Circuit.

Michael also holds a Bachelor of Science degree, magna cum laude, in pre-law from Emmanuel College in Franklin Springs, Georgia. During his undergraduate studies, he received the award for Most Distinguished Oral Social Science Presentation at Emmanuel College’s 4th Annual Research Symposium, and he served as Junior Class President with the Student Government Association.

He lives in Douglasville, Georgia, with his wife and their two sons. Michael is a parishioner at St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Catholic Church in Douglasville, and he is a Brother with the Knights of Columbus.
