Michael L. Zigelman

Michael Zigelman concentrates his practice in directors and officers liability, professional liability, insurance coverage matters, ERISA-related claims, toxic/mass tort and environmental matters. Mr. Zigelman’s experience includes drafting coverage position letters, coverage opinions and litigation of complex insurance coverage matters for insurers and reinsurers throughout the United States. He has also been involved with, and has had great success in negotiating settlements on behalf of his clients via mediation and arbitration. Additionally, Michael routinely drafts insurance policies and endorsements for all lines of coverage, and has argued substantive motions in both state and federal courts. Michael has also presented continuing legal education seminars on topics ranging from the impact and fallout of the Madoff fraud to recent developments with the FDIC and failed banks.

Mr. Zigelman serves as Co-Chair for Kaufman Dolowich & Voluck’s General Liability Insurance Coverage Group, in addition to the firm’s Environmental, Toxic & Mass Tort Group.
