Mitchell Riley VanLandingham

Mitchell VanLandingham is an associate in WSHB’s Northern California office where he enjoys a diverse practice. He is skilled in handling complex civil litigation including complex construction, real estate and transportation issues. In addition, he is experienced in advising on and litigating regulatory matters before the California Public Utilities Commission. He has previously served as a graduate law clerk for the Alameda County Office of the County Counsel and as an extern to Presiding Justice James M. Humes of the California Court of Appeal, First Appellate District. While at the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, Hastings Law Journal published his note on executive foreign affairs power. He has also worked with Hastings Appellate Project, briefing a successful pro bono appeal before the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.

During his law school career, Mitchell was also a senior editor for Hastings Law Journal, a member of the moot court board, a teaching assistant in the Legal Writing program, and a winner of the Witkin and CALI Awards.
