ABOUT Molly Flynn
Molly was born and raised in Columbia, South Carolina, where she graduated from Richland Northeast High School, in Richland County School District 2.
Prior to joining White & Story, LLC, Molly was an Assistant Solicitor at the Fifth Circuit Solicitor’s Office for six years. While at the Solicitor’s Office, Molly had the opportunity to prosecute cases in Magistrate’s Court, Municipal Court, and Circuit Court, in both Richland and Kershaw Counties. Molly specialized in prosecuting domestic violence cases during her first few years at the Solicitor’s Office, while maintaining a full General Sessions’ caseload. Over her six years at the Solicitor’s Office, Molly tried hundreds of cases, ranging from 30-day misdemeanors to murder. For the last year at the Solicitor’s Office, Molly focused her prosecution on sexual assault cases and spent her last few months prosecuting sexual assault cases in Kershaw County.
Molly is an active member of the South Carolina Bar Young Lawyers’ Division, helping plan many events for the Diversity Committee. Molly also serves as a mentor to First-Year Law Students at the University of South Carolina School of Law. She is a member of the South Carolina Bar, the Richland County Bar, the Kershaw County Bar, the Junior League of Columbia, and serves on the Board of Directors for South Carolina United Football Club.
Molly also enjoys presenting on domestic violence to many difference audiences: police officers, victim advocates, other attorneys, and judges. She is a regular speaker at the South Carolina Summary Court Judges’ Association’s School, presenting on domestic violence, stalking, and harassment law.
Prior to graduating from the University of South Carolina School of Law in May 2012, Molly was involved in various law school activities: serving as the Secretary and Treasurer of the Honor Council and was a member of Phi Delta Phi and the Black Law Students’ Association.
After graduating from Richland Northeast High School, Molly attended Clemson University for two and a half years, before transferring back home to the University of South Carolina, where she graduated in May 2009 with a degree in Retail Management and a Minor in French.
In her free time, Molly enjoys traveling, trying all the new restaurants that Columbia has to offer (she considers herself somewhat of a foodie), being outside, spending time at Lake Marion, and playing with her fur-babies, Lola and Seamus.
