ABOUT Mr. Charles R. Langhorne IV

Charles R. “Chase” Langhorne IV is an Associate in our office in Charlotte, North Carolina. Chase is an IAPP Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US) and focuses his practice on technology and data privacy and security matters. Specifically, he advises clients on data breaches, compliance with national and international data protection laws, HIPAA compliance, and general technology contract drafting and review.

Chase works with international companies to build and maintain GDPR compliance programs and regularly advises companies on GDPR implications of contractual relationships.

Domestically, Chase advises numerous companies on the implications HIPAA, CCPA, and NY S.H.I.E.L.D. Act have on business.

Earlier in his career, Chase worked in the telecommunications industry and handled land transactions and zoning matters for a wireless infrastructure company.

Chase earned a Juris Doctorate from the Charleston School of Law, where he was on the editorial board for the Charleston Law Review and a member of the Moot Court Board. He also served as president of the Student Division of the South Carolina Bar Association. Chase holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from James Madison University, where he was a member of the Delta Sigma Phi fraternity.
