Mr. Mikhal O. Wright

Mikhal is an associate handling matters involving Personal Injury Protection (PIP) litigation on behalf of insurance carriers evaluating cases for various issues. He’s taken Examinations Under Oath on SIU related issues throughout parts of Florida. As a value to his clients, Mikhal provides defense analysis reports and routinely conducts and defends depositions, handles motion hearings and engages in written discovery. When a client faces legal challenges, Mikhal works in tandem with them supporting them through negotiation settlements and takes advantage of the benefits of alternative dispute resolution, including mediation and arbitration, whenever possible.

Prior to joining Marshall Dennehey, Mikhal served as an Assistant Public Defender successfully trying several misdemeanor and felony jury trials. Here he argued several motions having represented hundreds of clients, gaining experience in criminal defense. In 2018, he began handling PIP litigation in-house for a major insurance carrier, with an emphasis in PIP defense learning the landscape of Florida PIP litigation.

Mikhal attended Morehouse College, graduating cum laude in 2009 with a major in Political Science and minor in Biology. He spent the next two years in Washington DC interning for one year at the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (I.C.E.) and working for a nonprofit organization. Mikhal attended Vanderbilt Law School on a merit scholarship and graduated in 2014. While in law school, he participated in moot court competition.

Mikhal is admitted to practice in the state of Florida and likes to exercise, spend time with family and attend sporting events during his free time.
