Mr. Wayne Mitchell

Wayne H. Mitchell has practiced law for over 25 years, and was most recently with the Office of State Courts. He is working as a contract attorney out of the Tallahassee office. His areas of practice will include first party property, liability and general civil litigation.. Mr. Mitchell earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from the University of West Florida in Pensacola, Florida. He earned his Juris Doctor from Florida State University College of Law. Additionally, while in law school, Mr. Mitchell clerked for The Florida Commission on Ethics, and completed internships with the United States Attorney’s Office: Northern District of Florida, as well as the Florida Attorney General’s Office.

Before joining Cole, Scott, & Kissane, Mr. Mitchell worked in both criminal and civil litigation while working for various agencies in Tallahassee for well over twenty years, including appellate work experience. He has tried numerous civil and criminal cases to verdict. From 2003 through 2012, Wayne served as the litigation team lead attorney with the Department of Health doing practitioner regulation and prosecuting “Medical Quality Assurance” (standard of care) cases.
