Ms. Marina Cardinez

Marina is an associate in the firm’s Casualty Department, concentrating on the areas of complex Personal Injury Protection (PIP) litigation and Fraud (SIU) Investigations. Marina primarily defends insurance companies for alleged unpaid and underpaid insurance benefits while identifying inappropriate billing practices, unsubstantiated medical services, excessive medical treatment, and other fraud indicators.

Prior to joining Marshall Dennehey, Marina was an associate attorney at a state-wide defense firm where she managed hundreds of PIP litigation files and engaged in extensive motion practice throughout the state of Florida.

Marina graduated cum laude in 2013 from Shepard Broad College of Law at Nova Southeastern University. During law school, she took part in the Children and Families Law Clinic where she represented economically disadvantaged individuals in a wide range of family law-related matters, while gaining experience with legal analysis, motion practice, and courtroom presentation.

Prior to law school, Marina worked at a nation-wide law firm as a Paralegal handling employment-related matters, including unpaid overtime, minimum wage, wrongful termination, and harassment. Marina was responsible for the management of hundreds of cases at any given time and developed a strong working knowledge of civil procedure, judicial practices, and the legal system.

Marina is admitted to practice in the state of Florida and is fluent in Russian.
