ABOUT Natalie M. Nathanson
Natalie M. Nathanson is a Principal in the Miami, Florida, office of Jackson Lewis P.C.
In her legal practice, Ms. Nathanson offers a depth of experience gained from serving as both in-house counsel and a law firm partner. She provides complex legal services to clients in connection with all types of employee benefits plans to ensure compliance with applicable federal laws and regulations including ERISA, PPACA, COBRA and HIPAA. Ms. Nathanson focuses on designing, amending, and administering pension plans, profit sharing plans, 401(k) plans, cafeteria plans, welfare benefit plans, and nonqualified deferred compensation arrangements. Ms. Nathanson also provides guidance to Employee Benefits Administrative and Trust Investment Committees.
Ms. Nathanson has successfully negotiated with the Internal Revenue Service, including in Employee Plans Compliance Resolution System (EPCRS) filings, Audit CAP negotiations, and applications for tax-qualification determination letters. She has also represented clients in negotiations with the Department of Labor in connection with Voluntary Fiduciary Correction Program filings.
Ms. Nathanson’s day-to-day practice includes providing legal advice regarding employee benefit plan operation and administration errors for retirement and welfare plans. She also regularly negotiates with volume submitter and prototype plan vendors, third-party administrators, insurers, and auditors.
Ms. Nathanson is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive).
