Rachel R. Ostrander

Prior to becoming an attorney Rachel Ostrander worked as the administrator of the Contractor Arbitration Program for the State of Massachusetts and as a Legislative Advisor for the National Organization for Women. Since she passed the bar in 2013, Rachel has been assisting clients to reach their business goals, and practicing complex civil litigation, municipal law, business law, government litigation, wage and hour litigation, construction law, contract law, employment law, and administrative law in both state and federal courts. She is passionate about helping clients to realize their objectives, minimize liabilities, and resolve disputes quickly and efficiently with clear expectations. She is a member of the Santa Cruz County Trial Lawyers, the Association of Defense Counsel, the Women Lawyers of Santa Cruz County, the Santa Cruz Bar Association and the Monterey County Bar Association.

Rachel enjoys the great outdoors, hiking, fishing, camping, and community activism. She strongly believes in the importance of community involvement. While it serves an important function in society, it also enriches both her practice and her life outside of the office. She is a Big Sister through Big Brothers/Big Sisters, serves on the Planning Committee for the Santa Cruz Cancer Benefit Group, volunteers for veteran’s services, and serves on the Board of Directors for the Volunteer Center of Santa Cruz County
