ABOUT Rebecca M. Gabroy
Rebecca is a senior associate in WSHB’s Orange County office, where her practice focuses on general liability, premises liability, medical malpractice, cannabis law, equine litigation, labor and employment, transportation litigation, product liability and business litigation. After a string of high-exposure cases, Rebecca has consolidated her practice and defends corporations, professionals, business owners, entrepreneurs, public entities and investors. Rebecca’s approachable but detail-oriented approach to litigation is one of the many reasons clients love her.
Prior to joining the firm, Rebecca’s career started at a boutique plaintiff’s trial law firm, where her practice focused on complex premises liability, products liability, all aspects of personal injury, wrongful death and medical malpractice. Not only did she successfully litigate hotly contested claims against multi-billion dollar companies, her experience at a plaintiff’s firm has given her a unique “insiders” perspective defending claims and minimizing risks to her clients.
Rebecca is a graduate of the Charlotte School of Law and received a certificate in International Human Rights from Santa Clara University School of Law. Rebecca excelled while in law school, making the Dean’s List every semester, receiving the Cali Award for Environmental Law, accepting an invitation to join the esteemed Crown Scholastic Honor & Leadership Society, and graduating in the top 10% of her class, cum laude. While in law school, Rebecca spent a summer in Costa Rica at the Inter-American Institute for Human Rights and the United Nations Inter-American Court of Human Rights.
Rebecca has also distinguished herself as a staunch advocate for the disadvantaged, working pro bono in law school for the following organizations and causes: Disadvantaged Costa Rican plantation workers - Assisting farmers and plantation workers with international toxic tort claims in one of three United Nations’ Courts of Human Rights; Beazer Homes Clinic - Assisting victims of the mortgage crisis to stop foreclosures and refinance; Temporary Protected Status Immigration Clinic for Syrian Refugees - Assisting those fleeing from war and terrorism; Wills for Heroes - Assisting veterans in end-of life planning.
Prior to attending law school, Rebecca graduated summa cum laude from California State University, Sacramento with a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in Classical Humanities and Religious Studies. While in school, Rebecca’s academic achievements placed her on the Dean’s Honor List every semester and she graduated in the top 3% percent of her class.
