Richard Fillmore

Richard Fillmore is an attorney in the firm’s Pensacola office where he handles litigation throughout the Florida Panhandle. His practice focuses on litigation in a broad range of first and third party insurance defense matters. Richard has handled an extensive range of cases including wrongful death, catastrophic injury, premises liability, negligent security, construction defect, motor vehicle and trucking accidents, class actions, medical malpractice, and other forms of complex litigation. Richard also has experience representing insurance carriers in bad faith litigation and coverage disputes. Additionally, Richard has represented clients as lead counsel in appeals to the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals, the Florida First District Court of Appeals, and the Florida Supreme Court.

Richard is a native of Pensacola, Florida and attended the International Baccalaureate program at Pensacola High School. Upon graduation, Richard attended Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida. Richard earned an Honors Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. After graduation from Rollins, Richard took a position with the nation’s largest home developer, gaining an extensive background in real estate, construction, and development. After a seven year career in real estate, Richard enrolled at the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama. While in law school Richard received the book award in Appellate Advocacy and was the Scholar of Merit in Legal Process. Richard interned at the St. Clair County District Attorney’s Office where he tried numerous jury and bench trials under his Alabama 3L practice certification.

Prior to joining CSK, Richard worked at a regional defense firm defending litigation throughout Florida.
