ABOUT Robert L. Barrow

Robert L. Barrow joined Simmons Browder Gianaris Angelides & Barnerd LLC in 2013 where he focuses his practice on helping people harmed by asbestos and other toxic tort exposures.

Robert has nearly 15 years of experience in litigating complex toxic tort cases and has recovered millions of dollars in verdicts and settlements on behalf of his clients. His work covers all phases of litigation involving major national and multi-national corporations.

Born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Robert received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Brigham Young University. There he played varsity football and served as a graduate assistant football coach and a teaching fellow in expository writing and research. He also pursued graduate studies in English, social science and linguistics. After graduation, he became world class professional martial arts expert and appeared in movies and television with his teacher and coach, karate star Chuck Norris.

Robert earned his law degree from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego. While in law school, he earned American Jurisprudence Awards, scholarships and honors for academic excellence and mentored first year law students in legal writing. He served as executive editor of the Law Review and as a research-writing extern to Judge Patricia M. Benke of the California Court of Appeals in San Diego. He was also a full-time high school teacher of English, speech, and debate. During this time, he was selected to "Who's Who Among America's Teachers."

After graduation, he served as a law clerk pro tem to U.S. Congressman Ronald C. Packard. He went on to develop a successful asbestos litigation practice at two asbestos litigation firm in San Francisco area.
