Robert O'Quinn

Robert E. O’Quinn, Jr. practices in the areas of legal, CPA, medical malpractice defense, including nursing home litigation, construction litigation and insurance agent and broker E & O; personal injury and wrongful death litigation; general civil trial litigation; trucking/transportation litigation; product liability; premises liability; religious organizations and clergy law and insurance coverage issues.

Mr. O’Quinn is a Jacksonville native who has practiced law in Jacksonville since 1980. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Florida and his Juris Doctor from the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University. While at the University of Florida he was a member of Florida Blue Key.

Mr. O’Quinn is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court; the United States Fifth and Eleventh Circuit Courts of Appeal; the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida; the Supreme Court of Florida; and all local courts within the State of Florida. He comes to Cole, Scott & Kissane from Webb & O’Quinn, where he was the managing partner.

Mr. O’ Quinn is a Martindale-Hubbell rated A.V. attorney. He is a member of The Florida Bar; the Jacksonville Bar Association; The International Association of Defense Counsel (member product liability and property and casualty insurance committees); the Defense Research Institute; and the Florida Defense Lawyers Association (Board of Directors 1987-1991) (member product liability committee).

He is a member of the Florida Supreme Court’s Committee on Standard Jury Instructions Committee (Civil). In addition, since 2007 he has been a member of the Judicial Nominating Commission for the Fourth Judicial Circuit of Florida and has previously served as the Chairman of the Commission.

Mr. O’Quinn is also a member of the Salvation Army Advisory Board for Northeast Florida.
