Solin J. Melahaji

Solin J. Melahaji is an Associate in the San Diego, California, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. Her practice focuses on representing employers in all workplace law matters, including preventive advice and counseling.

Prior to joining Jackson Lewis, Ms. Melahaji worked at an insurance defense litigation firm dealing with personal injury, subrogation, construction defect, and real estate matters. While attending law school, she served as a Senior Editor of the California Western Law Review and International Law Journal. She also externed for the Honorable Judge Gonzalo P. Curiel of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California.

Ms. Melahaji attended her undergraduate institution with a major in political science and a minor in history. During her undergraduate career, she received numerous scholarships including Outstanding Scholarship in Public Law, Ned Joy Memorial Scholarship, Kiwanis Club scholarship, Keeping the Dream Scholarship, and the Keith Behner Scholarship.

Ms.Melahaji was born in the Kurdish region of Syria, and immigrated to San Diego at seven years old. Her infatuation with the law is rooted in the rich political landscape of her homeland. From a young age, Ms. Melahaji wanted the privilege to advocate for causes she believed in and help effect change through the law.
