Ted E. Richards

TED RICHARDS received his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Stanford University and his Juris Doctorate from the University of California, Hastings College of Law. He has been a member of the California State Bar since 1985, with an extensive legal background including experience in personal injury, insurance defense, and appellate work. Mr. Richards’ workers’ compensation experience began in 1989 and has involved both applicant and defense practice. He frequently lectures on workers’ compensation matters and has been a guest speaker at CAAA, the Sacramento County Bar, NCWCDAA, AWCP, VICA, and many other industry events. Mr. Richards is a Board Member of AWCP, the Sacramento County Bar Association Workers’ Compensation Section: Attorneys’ Fee Committee and has been certified by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization as a Certified Specialist in Workers' Compensation law. He joined the firm in 1999. In addition to his industry activities, Mr. Richards is a Former President of Habitat for Humanity in Missoula, Montana and is an avid traveler, having spent a year exploring the U.S., Europe, and Asia. Mr. Richards retired as a Shareholder on January 13, 2020, and is currently Of Counsel.
