Theresa Lynn Heptner

THERESA L. HEPTNER graduated from the University of California at Davis with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science. Ms. Heptner obtained her Juris Doctor from McGeorge School of Law and comes to SRTK with extensive legal experience in the workers’ compensation arena. She was house counsel to Nationwide, Wausau, Liberty Mutual, Farmers, Safeco and Travelers Insurance Companies. Her experience includes all aspects of complex litigation in this field, including third-party subrogation and extensive trial work. Ms. Heptner has also assisted claims personnel with non-litigated matters, trained staff attorneys, and conducted legal education programs for various third party administrators. Ms. Heptner is certified by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization as a Certified Specialist in Workers’ Compensation law. Ms. Heptner joined the firm in 2010 after having over two decades of experience in workers’ compensation claims defense and continues to enjoy outside interests, including home improvement projects, reading non-fiction, politics and watching her children’s sporting events.
