Todd Russell Harris

Todd R. Harris serves on the leadership committee for Goldberg Segalla’s Retail and Hospitality Practice Group. With more than two decades of experience, Todd has litigated cases in New York, New Jersey, and Massachusetts state and federal courts, and has been admitted pro hac vice to numerous other states. Todd represents both national and local retailers in all aspects of premises and products liability matters as well as complex commercial disputes in various jurisdictions throughout the country.

Complementing his role in the Retail & Hospitality Practice Group, Todd is also extensively involved in the firm’s General Defense Practice Group and represents insureds in negligence suits throughout the northeast. Todd also has vast experience litigating insurance coverage matters, has acted as coverage counsel for claims related to respiratory injury sustained during the 9/11 terrorist attacks, and has served as coverage counsel for claims relating to diacetyl exposure, commonly known as popcorn lung litigation. While Todd is a seasoned litigator, a hallmark of his approach is to help craft solutions for clients that avoid litigation altogether - or, if litigation is unavoidable, to engage in arbitration and other forms of alternative dispute resolution. Todd also proactively assists clients by counseling on risk avoidance and risk management practices.
