Tyler B. Gilwit

Tyler B. Gilwit is an associate in Cole, Scott & Kissane, P.A.’s Fort Lauderdale West Offices’ Property Group. Mr. Gilwit’s practice focuses in the litigation of water, fire, SIU fraud, vandalism, and theft for residential and commercial properties. Mr. Gilwit provides an aggressive and zealous defense for insurance carriers in first-party insurance claim matters with favorable results.

During Mr. Gilwit’s undergraduate tenure, he attended Florida Atlantic University’s Business school and specifically, majored in finance. He graduated Summa Cum Laude, made Dean’s List all eight semesters, and was the number one finance student in his graduating class in August 2014. Subsequently, Mr. Gilwit moved to Miami to attend law school at the University of Miami School of Law to obtain his law degree. While in law school, Mr. Gilwit focused his legal studies primarily in litigation by choosing the Litigation & Dispute Resolution concentration that the University of Miami offers. In addition, Mr. Gilwit participated in the Litigation Skills program offered by the University of Miami school of law.

Mr. Gilwit devoted his time to public service while in law school, working as a certified legal intern at the State Attorney’s Office in Miami for two summers. Mr. Gilwit is a member of the Florida Bar in good standing.
