Tyler D. Gerk

Tyler Gerk is a Senior Associate in WSHB’s Denver office. He specializes in general liability in both state and federal court, ranging from premises liability and landlord/tenant disputes to product and professional liability. He is also experienced with claims and matters involving the Colorado Government Immunity Act and its provisions. Additionally, Tyler is well-versed with ski-related accident claims in Colorado and the Ski Safety Act. His main line of work focuses on complex construction defect litigation, including the defense of some of the largest developers and general contractors throughout Colorado.

Tyler handles intricate insurance coverage matters and has advised insurers on employee theft, property damage, hail damage claims throughout the state, and overall interpretation of policy provisions and exclusions. Tyler also assists our national insurance coverage practice handling first-party property (Homeowner’s and Commercial), commercial general liability, construction defect, and professional errors and omission claims. He is equally well versed in Colorado’s complex marijuana regulations and compliance, and previously worked with the Colorado Attorney General’s Office during the early years of marijuana legalization.
