Zahnie L. Soe-Myint

Mr. Soe Myint was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. He attended Arizona State University, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. Thereafter, Mr. Soe Myint earned his Juris Doctor from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan. While in law school, Mr. Soe Myint was a Certificate of Merit (highest grade) winner in Jurisprudence, and participated in an externship with the Kalamazoo County Prosecutor's Office, during which he conducted several bench and jury trials. Notably, Mr. Soe Myint was counsel of record for State Farm in the Arizona Supreme Court case, Schritter v. State Farm Mut. Auto. Ins. Co., 201 Ariz. 391, 36 P.3d 739 (2001), where the Court found for State Farm, and held that expert witness fees incurred by a party who deposed her own experts, in lieu of calling the experts at trial, are not recoverable as taxable costs. Mr. Soe Myint currently represents builders, developers, and general contractors in construction defect litigation and other construction-related matters. Mr. Soe Myint is also experienced in general liability defense, bodily injury defense, and coverage issues.
